*Wire Co is a wire rope manufacturing plant and is part of the Wire Co. World Group Corporation based out of Kansas City, MO. Locally they produce the wire rope and cable. The Kirksville facility produced the wire roping found in the Mars Rover parachuting system.

** Ortech is the only Japanese owned car parts manufacturer of the U-Shinn Corporation in the United States. They produce key locks and ignitions for several car manufacturers.
