Northeast Regional Medical Center is the regional hospital for Kirksville and the surrounding nine counties. It is a Level III Trauma and Chest Pain Center. Northeast Regional has won several national awards for quality healthcare and is a Thomson Top 100® Hospital!

Northeast Missouri Health Council

The Northeast Missouri Health Council, Inc., is a not-for-profit corporation and federally qualified health center that provides healthcare to anyone. They strive to meet the primary and preventive health care needs of the residents of Adair, Knox, Scotland Schuyler, Putnam, Lewis, Mercer, Clark and Sullivan counties in Missouri.
The Council has several facilities meeting the needs of children, women, veterans and families. Their facilities include:

They are able to offer a variety of services through the multiple clinics and physicians due to using the latest technology of Electronic Medical Records. Currently they have physician teams practicing in:

A.T. Still University

A.T. Still University was founded in Kirksville, Missouri, in 1892 by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, MD and is the founding school of osteopathic medicine in the world. Osteopathic physicians are devoted to a holistic philosophy of medicine and are educated, tested and licensed almost identically to those earning M.D.s, however they take an additional 200 hours in osteopathic manipulative medicine. ATSU is one university with six schools on two campuses with a total enrollment of over 3,200 students:

The Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine boasts a 97% graduation rate. And the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health will have its first class in the Fall 2013 with 40 dental students. MOSDOH will only be the second dental school in the state of Missouri and will use a hybrid curriculum similar to the Arizona school.
